Koschei would never complain about his roommate, even though he had plenty of reasons to do so.

Koschei hated how the other’s clothes would always be a mess and how the fresh laundry always ended up in a corner resulting in him always wearing wrinkled clothes. He had stopped minding always finding Theta’s stuff in his clothes and he had hardly ever minded seeing him in Koschei’s things which he had put on accidentally.

He would grumble about having to bring away dirty dishes or the cartons of Theta’s take away diet, even if there always was a leftover of the things Koschei liked the most.

He would be annoyed when Theta’s other friends came to visit, leaving Koschei with the task of clean up the room’s mess before and after they had arrived. 

He hated how Theta would always listen to music or play games when Koschei would write his essays and revise for exams early enough to not be stressed and how Theta would then cry and beg for help a few hours before his not even started work was due.

Koschei would never complain about these things, even though nearly every other person would have refused to have Theta as a roommate about two days after moving in with him. But they would also never get to wake up in the early hours of the morning with a warm body pressed into the covers beside them. They would never have a drunk and sleepy Theta cuddle up to them and sleep beside them, and not wake up until the next afternoon. 

It really was worth living in a mess.
